Series of works. Frottage in graphite on Hahnemühle paper. 29.7 x 21 cm each.

In a receptive stance towards the city's buildings, I chose frottage with graphite and clay from the Loire region. On paper, starting from the walls, the floor, the pipes, the timber of the half-timbering. The irregular and grainy texture reveals something very different from what is seen in the scene with the naked eye, thus composing a non-figure, a record of what is not seen, but which is still there. If, on the one hand, we do not see the creases and wrinkles of the wall through the frottage, we are left with the blank or greyish spaces of the paper to imagine them and the possible lives that may inhabit them.
